Unexpectedly worth seeing - Zwickau in the Capital of Culture year 2025
From May 7 to September 30, 2025, the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Zwickau is offering the opportunity to get to know St. Mary's Cathedral from an unusual perspective. Pilgrims, tourists and locals from Zwickau are invited to take a seat on deckchairs in a separate area of the chancel of St. Mary's Cathedral and turn their gaze to the floral paintings on the church ceiling. With the help of instructions on display, visitors can learn interesting facts about the creation of the ceiling painting and also enjoy a special moment of peace.
