Zwickau Christmas market

Short facts

The traditional Zwickau Christmas market delights visitors from near and far year after year.

When the scent of mulled wine and almonds fills the air and the streets and alleyways are lit up by festively decorated stalls, the most wonderful time of the year begins again. It's Christmas and therefore time for our popular and traditional Zwickau Christmas market. It immerses the city centre in an atmospheric, magical and cosy atmosphere. The large illuminated Christmas tree adorns the main market square and heralds a peaceful festive season.

The individual flair of many different small stalls makes the Christmas market in the Robert Schumann City one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in the region.

Typical Advent and Christmas assortments, such as Erzgebirge folk art with candle arches, pyramids and Rachermannln, as well as various regional delicacies, accompanied by Christmas music, create a particularly cosy atmosphere.

A fairytale trail, a visit from Father Christmas and lots of hands-on activities will make children's eyes light up and let them experience Christmas as a festival of love and joy.

We look forward to seeing you again this year at the Christmas market in Zwickau.
